Physical Description
Very well-built and tall, at a hunky 6'5". He rides motorbikes and likes to look broody. He has brown hair and brown eyes, and he likes to wear fitted t-shirts to show off his lovely chest. Really. He's very proud of it.
Personal Information
Nicholas is the best friend of one Hannah Otto
Nicholas' father was in the Army, and he spent his childhood moving around. Even though his parents were not strict on him in the least, Nicholas still felt the need to rebel. Who knows why? He ran away from home at seventeen, and he hitchhiked to New Orleans, where he begged a job from a dingy club owner who took him in. That dingy club owner taught him everything he knew, and he even let Nicholas live with him. When he passed on, he left the club to Nicholas, who promptly did exactly what it said in the man's will. He demolished the club to the ground, and built a new club from the ground up. It's called Fusion Blues, and he runs it now with the help of a very efficient manager and several underlings. The club is quite nice and snazzy, they have Blues Nights and Jazz Nights, and since drinks and nibbles are a little on the expensive side, it tends to keep the clientèle at least upper middle class and above.
Fusion Blues is where Hannah Otto plays her trumpet. Hence, their relationship is further complicated as he is her boss. They met when he was auditioning people for the house bands five years ago. He was drawn to her steadying personality, just as she was drawn to his unsteady personality. They became fast friends and he reckons by now he's told her every single thing there is to tell. She's special to him, but he thinks of her like a sister (for now...), much to her eternal dismay.
Backstory
Nicholas has had one relationship that lasted longer than a few weeks. He dated Adreanne for a little over a year (slightly before he owned his own club) and while they dated it came out that she had been in an abusive relationship for years before being with Nicholas. She then cheated on Nick with her ex, and then left him for the other man. This was about the same time Nicholas' mentor died, leaving him the club.
This all adds up to a very strong hatred for anything even remotely violent towards women. He will, in fact, he violent to someone being violent to a woman, and has thrown people out of his club and called the police on them before when he found their behaviour objectionable.
Backstory: Simplified
Ran away from his parents (for no reason) at 17 to make his own destiny. Instead, he made a Jazz and Blues club in New Orleans. You know. Eventually. Now he's Hannah Otto's bestest best friend and she loves him.
